Encik Khairul Anuar Ahmad is a lecturer at the Faculty of Management & Muamalah, Selangor International Islamic University, and has been lecturing in the same University since 1999. He is a graduate of the Academy of Islamic Studies (Shariah Division) of University of Malaya and holds a Master of Shariah from the same University. He has a vast experience in the Islamic finance industry over many years and has contributed his intellectual writings which include: “Futures Market: A Comparative Study”, “SARS: Its Effects on Malaysian Economy”, “ Calculation Manual for Zakat in Business/Trading”, and “Shariah Issues in Islamic Banking and Finance”. Currently, he is pursuing his doctorate (Ph.D) at the International Islamic University in Malaysia.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah bin Ahmad, graduated with a B.A (Hons) in Islamic Jurisprudence from the Al-alBayt University, Jordan in 2003 and obtained his Master in Islamic Management, Banking and Finance from Loughborough University, United Kingdom in 2004. Currently, he is the Associate Researcher and Head of the Takaful Research Unit at the International Shari’ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA). Previously, he was a lecturer and Headed the Banking and Finance Department at the Faculty of Management and Muamalah, in the Selangor International Islamic University College (KUIS). Muhammad Ali Jinnah was actively involved in the Islamic Finance industry and had attended various seminars and conferences on Islamic Finance. He had completed various research topics such as, Comprehensive Appraisal of Takaful Models Applied by Takaful Operators in Malaysia, Research Notes: A New Retakaful Model Based on Wadi’ah, and Exploring New Model for Retakaful Operation: An Overview of Wadi’ah Model, ISRA Research Paper.
Muhamad Faisal Ashaari, graduated with a B.A (Hons) in Shariah from Universiti al-Azhar, Egypt in 2000 and obtained his Master of Shariah from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2003. Currently, he is a lecturer Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He was previously a lecturer at the Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) and Akademi Pengajian Islam dan Dakwah (APID), Manjung. Muhamad Faizal was actively involved in the Islamic Finance industry and had attended various seminars and conferences on Islamic Finance. He had presented various research topics among others, Antara Adat dan Agama dalam Hubungan Muslim dan Non-Muslim, Isu-isu Munakahat Menerusi Soaljawab Agama Secara Online and The Personal Al-Da’wah in Online Community: A Methodology. Currently, he is pursuing his doctorate (Ph.D) at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Assistant Professor Dr. Ghazali Bin Hj. Jaapar, graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Shariah (Hons) in 1995. He obtained his Master of Comparative Law (“MCL”) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (“IIUM”) in 1998 and completed his Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom in 2005. He was previously a Director at the Harun M. Hashim Law Centre, IIUM and is currently a Senior Lecturer for Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (“AIKOL”) IIUM. He was actively involved in conducting on-going research topics such as, The Feasibility of Appointing Female Judges at the Shariah Court in Malaysian from 2009 to 2011 and has attended various seminars as a paper presenter on “The Concept of Equity in Islamic Law” at the International Seminar on Shariah and Common Law (ISCOL), USIM in 2006, and as an invited speaker for Kursus Metodologi Hukum Syarak Workshop organized by Jabatan Peguam Negara.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad @ Md. Som bin Sujimon, graduated from University of al-Azhar, Cairo in Al-Aliyah (B.A), Faculty of Islamic Jurisprudence and Law in 1979. He obtained his Master of Arts in Teaching from Mississippi State University (MSU), USA in 1982 and completed his Ph.D from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom in 1997. He was an Assoc. Prof. at the Faculty of Shariah and Law, University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) of Brunei Darussalam. He had published various of his writings such as, Fikah Kekeluargaan, the Problems of the Illegitimate Child (Walad Zina) and Foundling (Laqit) in the Sunni School of Law, Kes-Kes Kehakiman Berkaitan Jenayah Hudud, Qisas dan Kekeluargaan Di zaman Khulafa’ al-Rashidin and other notable intellectual writings. Currently, he is a Senior Researcher at the International Shariah Research Academy.
